We know that for many of us, the connection between a legal name and our identity is deeply personal and private. Unwanted disclosure can affect safety, housing, employment, family relationships and mental health, sometimes with life changing consequences. That is why this information is treated with the utmost seriousness. Legal names are stored in a password protected, two-factor authenticated account accessible only to the co chairs, and will only be accessed in the rare instance of a legal requirement.
